The video below show my practice in
self development of a Tongue Twister for example sentences like “Shut Up The
Shutters And Sit In The Shop”. The sentences I will repeat for ten time over.
This practice would it help with someone like me to had difficulty speaking
clearly? I can't explain it but when I open my mouth to speak, it just doesn't
come out clearly.
Tongue twister helps me to focus some words because the words
are difficult or in difficult order so I
have to focus word by word. No one is born a great speaker,so I have to
more practice frequently and maybe it eventually comes naturally. Doesn't make it
easier but more natural. Before I start my practice, I want to explain a litter
bit about what are the tongue twister and benefits if we practice frequently
this manner.
Tongue twister is a word or sequence of words difficult to
pronounce, especially rapidly, because of alliteration or a slight variation of
consonant sounds and the sentence or phrase that is difficult to articulate
clearly and quickly, such as ''Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppe''. But in my practice I like to use sentences
like “Shut Up The Shutters And Sit In The Shop”.
Tongue Twister “Shut Up The Shutters And Sit In The Shop”.
This is some of my poems,
Poem "The Backpacker"
I am the backpacker,
traveling in space and time.
Through my past,
present and future.
Leaving everything behind!
But when I travel to my past,
time freezes up in little frames.
As if it would forever last,
though time never remains the same!
I stop to view those picture frames of my memories.
Those snapshots of congealed time,
of dream like mysteries!
Like a dedicated time traveler let me travel with my soul.
Freed from past, present, and future tenses,
traveling totally uncontrolled!
for then I shall become an eternal traveler.
Traveling beyond all space and time.
With nirvana for my soul,
shattering the bondage of time!

Opinion on three given topic
1)Facebook is a bad for students
None of this is earth-shattering. If a student in the throes of cramming for finals is distracted every few minutes by the urge to check Facebook status updates involving friends’ day-to-day dating sagas and roommate skirmishes, it only makes sense that the student will be less engaged in learning, absorb less knowledge and likely score lower on the big test. Yet, the same results might be seen for students who get up every few minutes to grab a snack, watch TV or incessantly pick up the phone to text or call friends while studying.
However, if the student is using Facebook to propel his or her knowledge, for example, by participating in a Facebook group created by a professor for students of a particular class, than the social network may have a positive influence on education and spark the student’s interest in learning certain subject matter.
For instance, in such a space professors and students can participate in the sharing of knowledge, by posting articles (and responses to them), speaker events, lectures and personal experiences involving topics related to the course. When this happens, Facebook can be a boon to education, actively engaging students in the pursuit of knowledge. Yet, as All Facebook recently reported, teachers are increasingly discouraged (for good reason) from accepting students’ friend requests.
An important benefit seen in the statistics above is the ability of Facebook to make college students feel socially connected, with a greater sense of community. This can be beneficial in boosting students’ self-esteem. Past studies have shown that students who are active on Facebook are more likely to participate in extra-curricular activities. But, as we have also seen in the news, social media can also have a negative effect on emotional health when abused by cyber-bullies who harass and torment peers.
Also, as All Facebook reported, one study found that students with the most friends on Facebook feel more health-harming stress. Thus, students should be warned to not put too much stock in the social network. At the end of the day, students, as all people, of course, are more than the sum of their social network. Ultimately, like with anything, how social media affects students may come down to how it is used and the frequency with which it is used.
Opinion on AE 301 Communicative English 2
Learning to speak English well may be the best thing I can do to improve my life. That’s right. I think it would be fun to have access to information that other people can’t get? Talk and write letters to interesting people that others can’t communicate with? Impress people around me whenever I opened my mouth? Make big jumps in my career, leaving others miles behind? I can get all this if I speak English well.
There’s only one problem. Most of this knowledge is in English. Here are some examples of knowledge I can use if I know English such as books on any subject, from all over the world. Read books by British or American authors, and books translated from other languages. Whatever we’re interested in, we can read about it in English! The press, only English-language magazines and newspapers can be bought in every part of the world. We don’t have to search for Time, Newsweek, and the International Herald Tribune! Science, English is the key to the world of science.
The conclusion is "Communicative English 2" courses are suitable for adult students who wish to develop their English knowledge and skills for a wide range of purposes. Each course contains a well-structured syllabus, focusing on the development of all 4 skills, [reading, writing, listening, speaking], grammar, structure, vocabulary and pronunciation. During class time, I are engaged in a wide range of role-plays, discussions, mingling activities, brainstorming sessions, group work/pair work, multi-media based exercises, team orientated activities and individual presentations. My teachers Mrs.Izawati @ Siti Zawiyah bt Isa has been adopt a communicative approach in their teaching which means that classes are interactive and students are encouraged to express themselves with confidence while developing their listening, speaking and pronunciation skills.
